National Family Week, organized by the Alliance for Children and Families, is an annual event recognized each Thanksgiving week that celebrates the family and its value to society. This year’s theme is National Family Week: Connections Count, recognizing that strong families are at the center of strong communities.

Founded in 1968, National Family Week embraces the premise that children live better lives when their families are strong; families are strong when they live in communities that connect them to economic opportunities, social networks, and services.
