What's In? What's Out?

Putting Family First is pleased to announce that the traditional New Year's Day "In and Out" list from the Washington Post says that "unrestricted playtime" is IN and "overscheduled kids" are OUT!

This last Monday, the Twin Cities area received several inches of snow.

Many after school and evening activities were cancelled. Some families have shared their delight in these cancellations. If we get so excited about having time to eat a leisurely family dinner together, why do we commit to being over-scheduled, so often?

Take time this month to ask yourself and your children, what you like most when an activity is cancelled due to weather? Remember, "unrestricted playtime" is IN!!!
