About a week before Halloween when the kids and I were running errands, they noticed and commented upon the fact that every store we visited was already prepared for Christmas - even Home Depot! Our oldest lightheartedly stated, "Poor Thanksgiving! No one even notices it any more!"

This spurred a grand discussion at our dinner table that evening and instigated a family challenge...to give thanks everyday for the month of November. To make it easier for our kids, we suggested they thank someone everyday. It is amazing how much happiness is bestowed by two simple words...Thank You. We discuss our success at dinner every night. The stories could fill a book!
