Finding Time For Family

Here is a question many families struggle with. Author Mimi Doe answers the question in her monthly newsletter:

Q: How can I find the time to nurture my family when I’m frantic just getting through the day?

A: I believe you have the potential to live a balanced, alive, joy-filled life. You can make a difference in your children’s futures, manifest your own dreams, and create a soulful home. When you scan your life, take the time to ponder what you see, and generate a plan, you have a vital blueprint to follow. More energy and serendipitous events will follow as a result. It just works that way. You will experience a positive shift. Your family can’t help but benefit as this grace radiates to them. They will, in turn, begin creating their own blueprints for fulfilling lives and be sustained at home as they move these dreams into action. The fresh new year is just the time to dive in and begin balancing your life. Start by re-evaluating family priorities and developing a plan to honor those choices. Consciously making decisions about how you connect with those you love is the first and vital step in creating more harmony in your life. Your relationships at home can sustain and ground you and your children.

CLASSES NOW OFFERED TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE TIME FOR FAMILY!

I always browse the community education booklets that are sent to our home. I was surprised to see a class titled "Family Moments Within a Hectic Day." This class provides tips and suggestions for activities that you can focus on as a family.

At first I thought "We need community ed. to teach us to spend time with our families??" But then I realized that I should not be so defensive. I need all the help I can get to focus on my family. I need a community of people to focus on their families. I welcome the thought of any one wanting to better their family time together. I also realized that family time doesn't "just happen." If I do not write things down on my calendar, it will not happen. If I do write things down on my calendar, It will happen. Spending time with my family in a meaningful way where we connect and communicate with each other is time well spent. I noticed you can even take the community ed. class as a family. That would be WELL worth my time.
